Erasmus TCRgd LGL study

TCRγδ + large granular lymphocyte (LGL) leukemia is a relatively rare variant of T-LGL leukemia. Recent data from our laboratory on archival material of TCRγδ + T-LGL cases (Sandberg et al., Leukemia 2006) has revealed clear signs of antigenic stimulation (phenotype, CDR3 regions). We now plan a new biological study (“Erasmus TCRgd LGL study”) for which fresh blood samples of this rare T-cell leukemia are collected. Studies will concentrate on two aspects: antigenic stimulation (extensive TCR evaluation, stimulation experiments with sorted TCRγδ cell fractions) and secondary genetic events (array CGH or SNP array, micro array).
